Embarking on a journey toward mental well-being can be challenging, but with the right support, it can also be incredibly empowering and transformative.

Welcome to Lifeline Guidance! I’m Saleha, a passionate psychotherapist with 9 years of experience working in England, Pakistan, and now in Canada. I am a strong advocate for seeking help during the challenging phases of our lives. It’s normal to experience complicated emotions, and feeling lost or disconnected at times. Understanding that struggling with mental health doesn’t make us weak—it makes us human—is essential. If you have a mind, you have mental health, and we all face struggles at some point. I deeply believe in the mind-body connection, recognizing how our bodies reflect the mental and emotional stresses we endure. Therapy is a journey filled with stories, memories, and pivotal moments of realization and self-discovery. My goal is to help you increase self-awareness and build a stronger relationship with your authentic self. My psychology journey began in 2016 when I earned a BA in Criminology and a BSc in Psychology from the UK. After taking a gap year to gain hands-on experience as an Assistant Psychologist, I pursued a master’s in Forensic Psychology at Royal Holloway, University of London, while continuing to work in the field. My time in a forensic ward, working with juveniles and complex cases, shaped me into a calm, empathetic, and unbiased professional.

Through this journey, I’ve developed a personalized approach to therapy that is deeply rooted in mindfulness and evidence-based practices. I focus on helping adolescents and young adults with issues like anxiety, depression, body image, eating disorders, and trauma. I also support individuals facing confidence barriers, occupational burnout, and trauma, especially refugees and survivors of domestic abuse. As a certified Gottman therapist, I’m passionate about improving communication and building stronger, healthier relationships in couples. I have expertise in several therapeutic approaches, including Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). These methods are particularly effective because they address different facets of mental health. Psychodynamic Therapy explores unconscious influences, CBT provides tools to reshape negative thoughts, and IFS helps integrate and harmonize internal parts of the self. This blend supports deep self-awareness, emotional regulation, and lasting personal growth.

As a psychotherapist, my approach is deeply rooted in a broad and versatile therapy toolkit, tailored to each individual’s needs. I specialize in a range of therapeutic methods, including Couples Therapy using the Gottman Method, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and  Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Strengths-Based Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). My areas of focus encompass eating disorders, anxiety, depression, body image issues, relationship challenges, sexuality, confidence building, burnout, life transitions, couples therapy, and trauma. My goal is to provide a holistic, client-centered approach that empowers individuals to overcome their challenges and thrive.
